My Close Encounter

So this weekend I went to a art gallery reception. The reception was for the opening of Devendra Banharts art among others. I knew he was going to be there, so of course I was just praying that they were going to let us in. We drove passed The Orphanage and to my suprise who do I see other then Devendra sitting at one of the tables just looking down minding his own business. I FREAKED OUT. I happen to be on the phone with a 411 operator and I screamed, quite loud. I said that I was sorry to the guy on the phone and he continued to ask me questions yet I had no idea constucted words or phrases to mold. I was seriously flipping out. We parked the car and I proceeded to scream and laugh and almost cry. As we got closer, it was becoming real to me. This was the day I was going to meet my idol. Foram had told me I had to talk to him, so i decided that that was what I was going to do!

Later on in the night he came out from seclusion. I noticed he was going to go get something to drink, so i decided I was thirsty too. I went over there and he kind of cut in front of me. I politely backed up (with my head down in awkwardness, because he is so beautiful) and he said 'oh im sorry' and i looked up and he smiled at me. Oh man was that really enough!

However, I still knew that I HAD to talk to him. While he was walking passed the table I was sitting at. I stood up. ( i stood up, omg what was I thinking) I told him that I thought he was 'so awesome,' he politely threw his head back a bit, in a very modest way, and said thank you. I proceeded to tell him that 'my friends would hate me if i didnt tell him' and i babbled his praise. Oh man I really dont know what I said but im quite sure I said "awesome" like a million times. He said 'whats your name' and I said Ashley and he said "hi im devendra, its a pleasure to meet you" he leaned in, I thought to say some sweet love songs, but instead i got a very very polite kiss on the cheek.

He talked to ray a bit, but man i really dont remember what happen then. My memory is still hazy.

so I am quite ready to do something completely exciting. I want to go on a road trip and so I will. But where to I don't know exactly maybe a festival of some sort because this outer body experience (minus the drugs, mind you) seems to be exactly what I need. Yeah a tattoo would be cool but man what if I don't like it!! so i suppose I will chill out on that idea. I'd much rather burn in a desert then in four years burn a layer of my skin off. Frisco seems like the best idea so far. However I am quite open to opinions.

I need this insanity before I am thrown into a place of insanity.

I am sure I will survive this four year party/schooling education experience. heh I must really convince myself of that.

i just wanted to send out a personal post for my homes over in the hills (nat and rich). this has escaladed into drama, and oh man did we think the drama was over. I just really think if everyone is going to shit talk someone it should be behind their backs because no one gets hurt.

its been like a couple of weeks i think. well i have been listening to jenny lewis for the last couple of days and it makes me feel like a better person, heh thats pretty sad.

devendra banhart is a beautiful man. Foram says ray looks like devendra, so i said well i guess thats why I like ray, and foram says well don't you think you like devendra because he looks like ray? so if you ask its the second.

i am glad to be done with AP's but it just symbolizes graduation is on the way, that is a scary thought.

yesturday was subjectives. it was a long day.
then i got sick. it may have been the car.

i went to gap and bought the green purse i wanted, its more amazing then i thought it could be.

later i got freaked out and we left.
( i'm still sorry for that. )

the sleep was good and well needed.

today i will do review for my finals. i will return to the class for 7 hours of more pain. i think i'm going to fail.
